OUR WOODS
Our selection of hardwoods ranges from rough-sawn to dressed lumber, live-edge slabs, and project pieces. We pride ourselves in our process: Once the wood is milled, it spends time in the kiln to bring the moisture content down to around 6%. After the kiln, wood is stacked and stored away from the elements, awaiting its next chapter.
Our Story
Smith: From the Old English word smið or smiþ, meaning one who works in metal.
Wright: From the Old English word wryhta or wyrhta, meaning worker or shaper of wood.
By all accounts, Smiths and Wrights have been working together for centuries, forging blades and chisels, milling and shaping wood. Alongside the legacy we are helping you continue, we are here to continue the legacy of our forebearers.
